Matt shares responsibility for the strategic direction of the UDNF, including capital investments, operations, coordinated faculty hiring, and research initiatives. Matt is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, and Electrical and Computer Engineering where he studies the optical properties of nanostructured semiconductors for use in energy harvesting and optoelectronic device technologies.

John a Fellow of American Physical Society, is a Unidel professor of physics and affiliated professor at the Center of Composite Materials and Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Delaware. His current research interests include spintronics, soft magnetic materials, and microwave magnetic materials and devices.

Iulian is responsible for all aspects of UDNF’s operation and serves as the primary interface between the facility and its users. Prior to joining UDNF, he directed the nanofabrication facility at the University of Pennsylvania. Iulian has worked in nanotechnology for 18 years.

Cory is responsible for all of UDNF’s administrative, financial and human resources functions. She is the first point of contact to assist users in the process of obtaining access to the facility, monitors training requirements, maintains the website and coordinates the marketing efforts. Cory previously worked as the administrative coordinator for the Department of Design at the Ohio State University for five years.

Paul is responsible for managing the operation, maintenance and user training on the chemical vapor deposition and dry etch equipment housed in UDNF. Paul acts as a resource for process flow planning and optimization, develops and documents processes and techniques, and works closely with the users to advise and enable their research. Prior to joining UDNF, Paul was a process engineer at Triquint Semiconductor. Paul has worked in nanotechnology for over 20 years.

Kevin is responsible for managing the operation, maintenance and training on the lithography equipment housed in UDNF. With over 20 years experience in nanotechnology, Kevin Lister has worked within universities and multi-national enterprises with a focus on public-private partnerships in Scotland, Japan, and Switzerland. At the University of Delaware and UDNF, Kevin focuses on developing electron beam and photo lithography processes. Kevin has experience with nanofabrication, nano-device design and metrology. Kevin enjoys serving as a resource for process flow planning and optimization, developing lithographic processes and techniques, and working closely with students and commercial entities to support their research. Prior to joining UDNF, Kevin was the head of electron beam lithography operations at IBM’s renowned Nanotechnology Center in Zurich, Switzerland where he supported partnerships between local universities and the private sector.

Scott is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility and for providing training and user support on the physical vapor deposition and thermal processing equipment. Prior to joining UDNF, Scott was the facility coordinator at DuPont’s Micro Fabrication Facility at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware. Scott has worked in nanotechnology for over 20 years.
